Golimaar Review

Puri Jagannath who is struggling so hard to prove his mettle since the block buster “Pokiri” is failing miserably at box office. And this summer, he has yet again tried his luck with a cop flick “Golimar” which is roughly based on Encounter specialist Dayanayak. Let us check out if this Gopichand’s Golimaar could bring any cheers to him.

Story: GangaRam (Gopichand) aspires to become police right from childhood. He realizes his dream and also he is soon appointed as Encounter Specialist. He is given a tough task of wiping out two rival gangs one operated locally and other from Malaysia. But he realizes lately that fate has something else for him which turns his life upside down!!

What are the incidents that trembled his life? How did he achieve his goal at the end? Forms the gist of the movie.

Analysis

Movie begins in lines of Ek Niranjan (where a kid aspires to become police).Movie Runs in pace during the first half thanks to the expertise of Jagan. Interval bang is nice.

Twist in second half appeals to the audience. But the sudden transformation of the hero’s character is something that turn’s suicidal and movie becomes predictable and turns out to be same old masala which is made earlier by the same director.

Actors:

Gopichand is sincere. He is natural in dialog and fights. He is solely the relief in the movie.

Priyamani is just ok. Make up is the spoiler. But dubbing which is by herself is fresh. She has few hilarious scenes where she could bring some smiles.

Roja who did the role of Priyamani’s mother becomes preachy in most of the scenes. But she leaves her mark towards the end.

Nazar has become routine. Kelli Dorjee impresses as Malaysia don.

Jeeva, MS Narayana are ok. Ali has brief cameo.

Po”kirikiri”

"Evadu kodithey dimma tirigi mind block avuddo vaadey pandugaadu" says Mahesh in his pokiri.I think that movie really blocked puri's mind

Two Rival gangs, Police-Gangster fights, Continuous shoot outs, Heroine going behind the hero and crying for him, Climax scene where the hero heads towards the Gangster added with “samaramey” background music for many scenes strictly and definitely reminds you of Pokiri. Off course the director used the direct screenplay this time and has chosen Malaysia as villain’s refuge.

Puri's Sparks:

Nevertheless few scenes and dialogues which had Puri’s mark are seen here and there.

Interval scene listing out all notorious things done by mafia is bit informative.

Very few dialogue punches this time.

Forgot to say Songs leave no impact.

Final Verdict:

To Sum up, the time tested theme, the Pokiri resemblances and predictable last half diluted the racy first half thus making the movie stand somewhere between average and below average fare.

But people who still admire Puri can definitely have a look.

Also for those who watch most of movies...Golimar can be considered for time pass .

As a lover of Puri's earlier films,I sincerely wish Puri to start fresh .

Kites Review

Macho Man Hrithik –Mesmerizing Mexican Beauty Barbara and Tempting trailers...What else a movie needs to get great openings.And yes it did it, Kites grossed over 21 crore on its opening weekend thanks to pre-hype that was been created and whopping number of screens it is released .It stood second just behind 3 idiots in terms of opening weekend collections.Could it sustain its stand in long run..Let’s check out..?

Story: Jai (Hrithik) tries out all sorts to earn money and he even marries many illegal immigrant girls to fetch them green cards. As luck would have it, Gina (Kangana) daughter of an affluent casino owner falls for J. He pretends love with her to grab the share of riches. On the other hand, Natasha an illegal immigrant from Mexico does the same with Gina’s brother Tony. Accidentally Natasha was once married to J.

What happens when real love blossoms between these two crooks? Love of life on one side and lavish luxuries on the other? Which side they opt to? Is all the movie about.

Actors:

Hrithik is in exactly the role his fans want him to be in…He is dashing, He is damn hot .He has an excellent dance sequence in the movie to amuse us… And off course he has acted to the mark

Barbara Mori is fabulous... She is sexy, she is svelte and she is amazing. So many adjectives because she is not just the skin show but she is brilliant actress too.She has lived her role.

Kangana Ranaut is limited but she looked great. Kabir bedi as her father is good. Other among who got noticed are the actors who played Kangana’s brother, Hrithiks friend …did their part well.

Good Things first:

It’s the crackling chemistry between Hrithik and Barbara that solely works for the flick.

It’s an obvious surprise that two people who can’t speak out each other’s languages are in a bond. But they both are fantastic together and they truly made believe the happenings on screen look amusing.

And there are quite a few action sequences/chases to pump in adrenaline. I liked the one where Hrithik sets free the cars in the truck.

Then there are those tender romantic moments that touch the hearts. The Scene beside Lasvegas fountains, Bank robbery scene, following hotel scene and Rain dance sequence etc and etc

Hrithik’s dance moves with kangana are very good.

Captivating Cinematography made every scene look superb. Whether it is a Las Vegas Fountains…or some Mexican desert or the California highways…All looked bright

On the Flip side...

“Kites” which is over-hyped as an unconventional bollywood movie for global audience turns out to be just a run-out-of-mill flick.

Movie offers no novelty and is much predictable. The continuous chase-romance cycle becomes repetitive after a while.

Though the climax is apt and obvious, it makes you think whether the lead couple is foolish for not having expected the same.

May be more fun...more clever moves by the couple might have lead us to happy 'Dhoom' Climax!!

Final Verdict:

“Kites” is a movie of a kind “you hate it” or “you love it”…

If you visit the movie just for having glance of gorgeous couple…with least expectations…I am sure you will not be disappointed.

But if you had thought it is never before…You might not love it.

It’s one time watch for Hrithik and Barbara and for all those good points mentioned.

The sun,the moon,the earth,the sky,the water,the fire and the air we breathe are all our relatives..

A human who cares for good and who shares a little of what is his..is also relative to all mankind..

The movie begins with this sweet lyric (background song for titles) and movie succeeds in passing that great message..

Chandra Siddard who directed heart touching “Aa naluguru” has directed this latest movie “Andari Banduvayya”.Let us check how he made this moral commercially viable..

Story : Sarwanand is simply guy like any of us…but he puts into action his ideals .He is always there when people surrounding need some help.He comes across Padmapriya the girl next door .She is sweet but a miser ..may be because she need to bear burden of her two sisters and mother.

When sarwanand takes her to his village,She is simply bowled by the goodness of his father who sacrifices all his wealth for sake of his village.

What are the lessons, paddu gets from the village?Where does the noble virtues lead this young couple to? Is the movie all about..

Actors : Sarwanand is the one real hero for accepting such a great scripts one after other.His movie catalog ”Classmates”,”Amma Cheppindi”,”Gamyam”,”Prasthanam” and now “Andari Banduvayya”..shows his evolution as an actor but not a star. Though he is overshadowed by Saikumar in Prasthanam,he gets his complete share this time. He is honest and up to the mark in every scene. Sarwanand..you can proudly claim..”Summer of 2010 is mine”

Padmapriya looked very simple in the movie.Her acting prowess is well known to tamil audience.she is there in all scenes supporting our hero.Though she looked glamorous in songs..Our telugu audience and producers look for that aura in every scene especially when it comes to the heroine.But she makes her mark.

Vijaya Krishna Naresh(Senior actor naresh recently changed his name giving due respect to her mother) acted as Sarwanand’s father. His character is in the lines of Raghuram of “aa Naluguru”. He is at his best.

Pragati as Padmapriya’s mother acted well.PavanSai is good as Sarwanand’s friend.Even his father acted well.

KrishnaBhagwan has some witty one liners.He filled in the comedy quotient.

RK(Hyderabad nawabs fame) played the role of gangster.NRI bridegroom, Paddu’s sisters are all natural.

Anand played a significant role.

Analysis:

Movie begins exploring the Sarwanands character .And paddu’s miserly antics are enjoyable.

The scenes in the village are heart touching.The entire episode is spell-bound.

There is good interval bang..watch it on screen. Most of the second half is dedicated for some love scenes. Movie looses pace for a while, but copes up at the simple but nice climax.

Heart-touching scenes:

Sarwanand going too far for helping his teacher, Each and every scene showcasing Naresh’s idealness, The warmth of villagers (Marriage sequence in the village) are all superb.

Naresh stopping the bus to see his son..I have no words..because i was nostalgic in that scene.I swear you will be too.

Emotional drama just post interval is too good.

MS Narayana episode is ok too.

The scene where Paddu seeks sarwanand’s company to cry out loudly is touching.

All in all,the moisture that is formed in our eyes speaks about the depth of those emotional scenes.

Don’t worry..there are regular comedy punches to ease the audience.

Story/Dailogues/Music:

Story and dialogues by Balabadrapatruni Ramani, a novelist are among the best of recent times. Dailogues are brilliant elevating the message.

“nuvvanni aastulu ammukunna naa aasti nuvve naanna” “Pakshulaki konchem dhanyam, pasuvulaki konchem ghraasam, manishiki konchem saayam””manam saayam cheseppudu manam padey kastam kanna..eduti vaari kallalo kanipinchey anandam goppadi”

Also witty ones like "Bommarillu..batti pattaadu"

Music by AnupRubens is excellent.No song is boring.Liston them again for wonderful lyrics by chaitanya Prasad.Title song,”Malli Malli rammani””jigi bigi chilaka” stand out.

Drawbacks:

While in Aa Naluguru, the opposition towards the ideal nature of the Protagonist has given scope for plenty of drama, Such kind of conflict is missing here.

Poor director, he has to fill some love scenes and songs in the movie for it to reach all audience.

The entire NRI bridegroom episode seems forced and the later half slows down for a while.

Final Verdict:

Many audience might feel,the movie with all ideal characters is not realistic.Not their mistake!!

Yes it is a fantasy in this world where pure heart of us is stuck somewhere inside. Infact Very wonderful fantasy of nobility!! When we are accepting the movies with un-materialistic things like hero beating 100 goons,Sumos flying in air..I think we can accept such a great vision of chandrasiddard.

If you believe that bad in the movies harms the society, Then good in the movie definitely enlightens the mankind. We are waiting for many movies like this.

No less than 4.It’s a must watch friends.One should encourage such movies so that we get much more ideal movies in future.

Rama Rama Krishna Krishna .. Review

Energitic hero Ram who has been eagerly waiting for a success since “Ready” joined hands with Dil Raju,who himself is even more impatiently striving for the same.Their latest Summer release “Rama Rama Krishna Krishna” is being directed by Sri(ni)vas who earlier delivered a decent hit “Lakshyam” .Moreover this movie is Keeravani’s 200^th musical.

Let us see how far this movie could bear the summer heat!!

Story : Rama Krishna belongs to Gandhipuram a beautiful village beside Godavari. He is blend of both carefree attitude when surrounded with friends and also bears the responsibility of his family and village in troubled times. Ashok deva(Arjun) a gangster in Mumbai flees to his village in order to protect his two sisters from his rival Pawar.What destiny has in store for these two families forms the interesting story in completely village background.

Actors:

Ram potrayed the role of Rama Krishna very well.He is good both as happy-go-lucky lad and a conscientious son of the landlord who loves his village and his family equally.He is good in emotional scenes in the later half along with monkeyshines in the first half. He showcased his dancing skills too very excellently.

Arjun played a prominent role in the movie.His gracious presence will definitely enhance the movies run.

Priya Anand who is bit sidelined in leader has got a meaty role this time.She acted as sister of Arjun.She looked cute and acted well too.

Bindu Madhavi acted as Ram’s maradalu.she is strictly for songs.But she made her presence felt.

Naser is good as Ram’s father.Brahmanandam is also nice. Srinivas reddy seems to occupy the friends slot nowadays. He is cool.

Pruthvi(30 years industry) and Bharath(raviteja’s bro) are good as buffoons.

Lagaan star gracy singh shines for a while as Arjun’s wife.

Analysis :

First half runs in nice pace. Good songs,village atmosphere and lighter moments make it even more enjoyable.Interval bang is very good.

Second half suffers little bit that too only towards last 20 minutes,Otherwise the whole movie goes on smoothly.

Plus points:

Village Backdrop is a huge asset to the movie.Srivas captured the modern village and aesthetic beauty of river Godavari elegantly.

Few Songs by Keeravani like “Rama Rama..” “yeha Lera chanti..” “tugo jilla pilla paago jilla” are very nice on screen.Especially Sankranti Song “yeha leraa chanti” is simply superb.It carried the festival mood very well.

Direction/Good scenes :

Srivas came up with good screenplay and cool direction.Though story is not novel,the way he handled it highlighting the family emotions can be appreciated. Additionally he had designed the Ram’s character and Arjun’s both competitively.

Nasser’s cigarette thread is beautiful one.I was initially irritated as why director is showing Nasser smoking throughout.But the thread is concluded well.

The scenes with the parents when entire family sits under moon for a dinner,scene when Ram tells his father that he would marry any girl his father shows, are nostalgic.

Ram’s different getups as police and old man,medical camp episode,his first fight with Bharath,Entire Mumbai episode(aryasamaj) are other good ones.

Disappointments:

The graphics work looked very artificial.Car chases in Mumbai,Climax fight are stale.

A little lag when director brought some clash between Ram-priya in second half is not needed.It drags the movie a bit.

Even arjun-gracy singh short flashback seemed out of place.

Final Verdict

RRKK might not be a must watch,But is decent entertainer for family crowds .

Presence of good heroines and cool village atmosphere would even provide paisa vasool for youth.So those who like Ram don’t miss it!!

2.75/5 ..Movie scores well for Village background and for Ram & Arjun. But slight novelty in the story and little additional comedy would have brought more good result .

మాటలకందని మధురానుభూతుల్ని మది లొ ముద్రించే 'ప్రకృతి సౌందర్యాన్ని…'

దారంతా రాళ్ళున్నా గలా గలా పారెటి సెలయేటి సంతోషాన్ని..

కలగలిపి కమనీయ రూపానికి ప్రాణ ప్రతిస్ఠ చెసాడు భగవంతుడు..

అలా ముర్తీభవించిన మమకార మూర్తి కి “అమ్మ” అని పేరు పెట్టాడు..

కనిపించని ఆ దేవుడు కేవలం "అమృతం" తో సరిపెట్టుకుని!

కని పెంచమని ఆ "అమ్మ" ని మనకోసం నేలకు పంపాడు!!

అంతటి అమూల్యమైన కానుకని..మనం సదా ప్రేమించాలని కోరుకుంటూ

ఆంతా చూస్తుంటే మన తెలుగు నాట జరిగే సంప్రదాయమైన పెళ్ళి సందడి లా ఉంది..

మరి అక్కడ జరిగేది మాములు పెళ్ళా? శాక్షాత్తు శ్రీ.”శ్రీనివాసుని పెళ్ళి”సందడి..

ఫ్రొద్దున్నే సుప్రభాత సేవ తో స్వామి వారి సెవలు మొదలయ్యాయి..తరువాత అలంకారం జరిగింది..అప్పటికే కళ్యాణం కోసం రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ చేసుకున్న భక్తులందరు లైన్ లొ ఎదురు చూస్తున్నారు..

ముందు గా స్వామి వారిని ఊరెగించిన తరువాతే అందరిని కళ్యాణ మండపం లొకి అనుమతిస్తారు..

దాదాపు 9:30 కి ఊరెగింపు మొదలయ్యింది.వేద మంత్రాల ఉచ్చరణ తో,సన్నాయి మేళాలతొ ఆ పురుషొత్తముడిని పల్లకి లొ మండపం చుట్టూ ఊరెగించారు..విచ్చేసిన భక్తులందరు స్వామి వారి వెనకే నడుస్తూ కళ్యాణ మండపం లోకి చేరుకున్నారు. కళ్యాణం టికెట్లు తీసుకున్న వారందరు వారి వారి టికెట్ ఖరీదు ని బట్టి మూడు పంక్తులలొ కూర్చున్నారు..

ముందుగ కార్యక్రమ నిర్వాహకులు అందరికి స్వాగతాలు పలికారు..ముఖ్య పూజారులు.. కళ్యాణ విశిష్టతను సభ కి వివరించారు..తరువాత తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం నుంచి విచ్చేసిన గాయకులు “బ్రహ్మ మొక్కటే పర బ్రహ్మమొక్కటే””గొవింద గొవింద అని కొలువరే..” అంటూ పలు అన్నమయ్య కీర్తనలు, పాటలతో కళ్యాణ వేడుక ని ప్రారంభించారు..

కళ్యాణం లొని ముఖ్య ఘట్టాలైన పెళ్ళికొడుకుని స్వాగతించుట,అగ్ని హోత్రం,మధుపర్కాలు(బట్టలు పెట్టటం),మహా శంకల్పం,మాంగళ్య ధారన ,తలంబ్రాలు,ఫూర్నాహుతి..ఇలా అన్ని ఎంతో చక్కగా వివరిస్తూ అత్యంత శ్రద్దా భక్తులతో నిర్వహించారు..

మధ్య మధ్యలొ “పిడికెడు తలంబ్రాల పెళ్ళి కూతురు..””చూడరమ్మ సతులార..” ఇలా మరికొన్ని అన్నమయ్య కీర్తనలు..పసందైన పాటలు విచ్చేసిన వారికి ఉత్తేజాన్ని పంచాయి.

అలాగె సినీ గేయ రచయిత జొన్నవిత్తుల గారు రాసి ఆలపించిన “విమాన వేంకటనాధుడు..ఎయిర్ ఇండియా విమానమెక్కి విదేశమొచ్చాడు..” అంటూ సాగిన పాట అందరిని అలరించింది.

అలా ఆద్యంతం ఉల్లాసభరితంగా జరిగిన వివహానంతరం అందరికి సర్వదర్శనం ఎర్పాటు చేసారు..

ఆ తరువాత అందరికి అన్నదానం అంటే మహాప్రసాదం పంచారు ..

సర్వదర్శనం దాదాపు సాయంత్రం 6-7 దాక జరుగుతూనే ఉంది..గురువాయప్పన్ మందిరం లొ పార్కింగ్ సరిపొదు కనుక అందరికి వొనేజ్ ఆఫిసు దగ్గర పార్కింగ్ ఇవ్వటం జరిగింది.అక్కడనుచి కళ్యాణ మండపానికి బస్సులు తిరిగాయి..

ఇక ఎంతో మంది వాలంటీర్లు ఎన్నో రోజుల ముందు నుంచి యెర్పాటులు చూసుకున్నారు ..

అలాగే శనివారం రోజు రిజిస్ట్రేషన్ దగ్గరనుంచి..అన్నదాన కార్యక్రమం దాక అన్ని పనుల్లొ చురుగ్గా పాల్గొని శ్రీనివాసునికి తమ కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలుపుకున్నారు..

ఈ మహత్తర కార్యాన్ని తలపెట్టిన ప్రముఖులు ,వేదికనలంకరించిన అర్చకులు ,సాయమందించిన వాలంటీర్లు ..విచ్చేసిన భక్తులు నిజంగా ధన్యులయారు!!
